hoping that it stands?
with too much frosting
your sweet structure will collapse,
nothing like you’d planned.
on the other hand,
skimping on the adhesive
will end up the same.
it needs a balance
between structure and mortar
for a healthy house.
your home is the same…
everyone needs a balance,
both rules and grace.
and children will thrive
with a strong graham cracker frame
and sticky, sweet love.
but too much of one
will lead to rebellion,
or spoil the kid.

My dear girls,
Father God is the best parent there is. He gives us Commandments (Exodus 20) and shows us how to be wise (Proverbs). He also gives us grace and shows His love to a thousand generations (Deuteronomy 7:9). I want to be a parent with this kind of balance.
