empty, but not void;
when i empty me of ‘me’
i have room for Him
a void in my heart
leaves me longing and searching
never feeling full
‘void’ is a vacuum
i try to cram full with fun
a bottomless pit
’empty’ is a choice
i come to Him with nothing
heart and hands open
i offer up praise
He rains down His love on me
and my heart is full
