“This is the same Moses who had argued with the Lord, saying, ‘I can’t do it! I’m no orator. Why should Pharaoh listen to me?'” Exodus 6:30

My dear girls,

You are a masterpiece, created for a specific purpose.

Remember Moses? He had no confidence in his abilities. He could not see that God had been shaping him to be the right guy for the job ahead of him. Repeatedly, he argued, “I can’t do it!” God didn’t let him go, though–Moses had been set apart for the special assignment of bringing deliverance to the Israelites. He was the instrument God wanted to use.

So many times I haven’t been able to see how my past has shaped me and how God has prepared me for my current and present place in life. Perhaps my mark, your mark, will be greater than we can imagine right now.

And so, overwhelmed by the enormity of the tasks at hand, I’ve exclaimed, “I can’t do it!”

To which God replies, “Stop whining–you are doing it! And you will continue to do it. I have equipped you for this very work…and I am right here with you!”

Pray with me, “dear Father, please forgive me for my lack of faith. You know I want to be amazing and do amazing things. Help me not to doubt Your power in my life. Help me to walk in confidence and holy boldness, trusting that You’ve got my back. Give me the strength to be still…and know that You are God.” Amen.”

with love, Mom
